Presented by Wake Forest Downtown, Inc. and Firebox Theatre Company, these guided tours bring more than a century of downtown history to life — with a chilling twist. From historic storefronts to familiar sidewalks, you’ll hear the legends of restless spirits that still linger along South White Street.

Public Safety Day | Cary
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and head to downtown Cary’s S. Academy Street for a day of fun, learning, and community connection at Cary Police Department’s Public Safety Day.
This free, family-friendly event is packed with activities for all ages:

Touch-a-Truck: Kids can get up close to police cars, fire trucks, EMS vehicles, and more.

Kids’ Zone: Interactive activities, games, and learning stations designed just for little ones.

Food Trucks: Enjoy local favorites while exploring the event.

Pickle Party | Durham
Durham, get ready — it’s pickle time. Wickles Pickle Beer at Hi-Wire Brewing is making its return, and the celebration promises to be anything but ordinary. Brewed with cucumbers, dill, Himalayan salt, and peppercorn, this crisp sour takes inspiration from Wickles’ 90-year-old recipe that’s equal parts sweet, sour, and spicy.
